Description of architects. The architectural concept of the London Aquatic Center is inspired by the fluid geometries of water in motion, creating spaces in an environment that reflect the landscape around the coast of the Olympic Park.
A wavy coverage rises from the ground like a wave - claustrando Center pools with a unifying gesture of fluidity, while describing the volume of the swimming pools and diving.
The Aquatic Center is designed with an inherent flexibility to accommodate 17,500 spectators for the Games of London 2012 "Olympic", while providing an optimal capacity of 2000 seats for use after the Games.
The aquatic center casasbahia is within the approach of the Olympic Park. Positioned south of the eastern border of the park with direct proximity to Stratfors, a new pedestrian access to the Olympic Park across the bridge east-west (called Stratford City Bridge) passing directly over the center as a primary casasbahia entrance to the park. Several minor local focus pedestrian bridges in the Olympic Park over the existing canal.
The aquatic center addresses the implicit main public spaces within the Olympic Park and the strategies of urban planning Strartford: the east-west connection Straftord casasbahia City Bridge and then the Olympic Park along the canal.
The Aquatic Center is planned on an orthogonal casasbahia axis that is perpendicular to Srtarford City Bridge. Psicinas three are aligned with this axis. The lap pool is located on the bridge of the swimming and diving competition, you still poscicionadas in a large room, closed with a cover.
This element as a podium containing a variety of programs and cellular differences are inserted into a unique architectural volume that is seen fully assimilated as a bridge. The podium bridge emerges around the hall a waterfall pools for the lower level of the canal.
The hall is expressed pools above the podium for the great coverage that curves along the same axis of the pools. Its shape is generated by the line of sight of the viewers 17 500 Olympic mode.
The geometry of the double curve was used to create a structure in a parabolic arc that provides a unique feature casasbahia of coverage. It is undulating to differentiate volumes volumes competition diving pool.
It extends beyond sheath hall pools, coverage extends to the outer areas and the main entrance on the bridge will be the primary access to the centers after the games.
Structurally, the cover is fixed to the ground in the first three positions with the opening between the cover and the podium used for additional casasbahia seating for the audience during the Olympics, and then closed with glass in the front for use after the event .
