The lover of religious buildings, the Morvan lot to offer. Take close to the Basilica of St. Andoch

The lover of religious buildings, the Morvan lot to offer. Take close to the Basilica of St. Andoche Saulieu (15 miles) and the cathedral dedicated to Saint Lazarus in Autun (30 km). A little further away, however, much more to experience. To start in Vezelay, where the pilgrimage Saint Bernard ezybuy on 31 March 1095 for the Second Crusade. The famous basilica of Vézelay was back then (in rudimentary form) and is well worth a visit.
Galleries, restaurants ezybuy (at Relais du Morvan is a nice place) and museums alternate. It is worthwhile to put the car down and then walk. The village on your right hand around the mountain You come on the back of the basilica and descends steeply down the street again. Speaking of Saint Bernard. Who to Dijon going for a trip (too many attractions ezybuy to mention but a culinary tip there is: B9 on the Place de la République, in front of the Ducal Palace), does well as a stop to at Fontaines-les -Dijon, a turn of the road to the big city. Then Saint Bernard was born and a large cathedral with plaques reiterate here. Incidentally, the same saint that a hefty dent it had at the Abbey of Fontenay, near Montbard (60 km). Austerity asset in this beautiful 'village of Clergy and very appealing. www.abbayedefontenay.com that respect testifies Cluny in the south-east (90 km) of more spiritual wealth.
Literally, because the giant churches and abbeys (most degraded) in this town had a St. Bernard eyesore. More interesting to see how the puissante self-enrichment of the abbot of Cluny led to the leanest of all orders: that of the Cistercians. Who loves good food in a spiritual environment, depart early in La Bussiere Bussiere-sur-Ouche (65 km). An eleventh-century abbey, fabulous restored by the current English owners, who had to sell their castles to achieve this. Britain The restaurant at the Abbey is great and has a Michelin star. www.abbayedelabussiere.fr Cheeses food you can at the Benedictine Abbey of La Pierre qui Vire (the stone that turns) at St. Leger-Vauban (see castles). There are goats and cows to make use of treats. Their milk than huh ... The church there is nice and rotating stone strange. www.apqv.fr Small but finally, the fortified town of Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, where the film Chocolat is included. Here, too, an old abbey and a special church, but the profane sphere of the town as a whole is even more impressive. Like La Grange, the 'barn' in which fifteen women farmers and farmers have created a restaurant where they sell their own delights.
