The Samsung Omnia W has been unveiled in September last year (2011), it is a Windows Phone Mango device with a screen average size of 3.7 "Super AMOLED display, a 5 megapixel camera and a processor 1.4GHz.
The long test has an interactive summary (think to break if the summary disappears), click the topic that interests you to navigate through the video, click on the top right to return to the summary. Happy reading!
Specifications Samsung Omnia W Windows Phone OS 7.5 Mango Screen Size 3.7 "480 800 Super AMOLED Connectivity 3G HSDPA Quadband GSM Memory 8GB of internal memory, microSD slot no RAM 512MB Processor 1.4GHz Scorpion 5 megapixel camera, autofocus, flash LED, 720p video capture, VGA front camera GPS? Yes, A-GPS WiFi? Yes, b / g / n Bluetooth? Yes, Bluetooth 2.1 A2DP Micro USB Connector, 3.5mm Weight 115.3g Dimensions 115.6 x 58.8 x 10.9 mm Autonomy announced Approx. 7 hours talk time, 370h standby, 1500mAh battery Price only About 380 - from 50 with package sport outlet at Orange Availability October 2011
Sensation in hand with the Omnia W is downright good, we appreciate the form factor of moderate size, thanks to its 3.7 "screen. The unit is compact, no cracks, the finish is very good with these metal elements embedded in the plastic of satisfactory quality.
The Samsung Omnia W is a good smartphone with Windows Phone Mango, it offers a very fluid experience in all apps, including web use. Photo and video side, the camera is pretty sport outlet decent, nothing more, but I was disappointed by the lack of continuous autofocus, making it impossible to use the video if you want to approach the subject. An interesting point also on the Omnia W: its Super AMOLED screen.
If I had to judge the Omnia W alone, without taking into account the context and the market, sport outlet I would have given high marks to the terminal, but this range of Mango midrange terminals there are several devices, including a principal with whom I will make the comparison: the HTC Radar.
These two terminals are similar in size, resemble a lot in the specifications and, in my opinion, come into direct competition in the choice of the user. However, the Radar is more interesting. Why?
HTC brings much more to Windows Phone as Samsung, with pre-installed apps sometimes practices and especially more options at the camera (including continuous autofocus in video). After the Omnia W left side with 1.4GHz powerful processor 1GHz against, a difference that will not feel left out, eventually, in a little sport outlet heavy games.
Now if you are in Orange, which offers the Omnia W at a good price and it interests you, do not hesitate, it's a good smartphone WP! POSITIVE NEGATIVE POINTS Good finish reactive interface, good overall fluidity Bel Super AMOLED Samsung does not add much to Windows Phone No continuous autofocus in video
Looking primarily sport outlet a consistent experience, simple, smooth and responsive on your mobile, especially on the web, and plan to run relatively demanding games for Windows Phone. You do not want a camera too bulky and potentially you are in Orange and offers you a good price.
